Terms of service

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms govern your use of Mercato (the website at https://mercatocoin.com, the dashboard and the API). By connecting a wallet, creating an API key or sending a request you accept them.

The service

Mercato gives you one API to third-party AI models. Requests are served by independent sellers on an open inference marketplace or by OpenRouter, and are subject to those providers' own usage policies, which you also agree to follow.

Your account

Your account is the wallet you sign in with. You are responsible for that wallet and for every API key you create. Keep keys secret, store them in environment variables, and revoke any key you think has leaked.

Credit and billing

  • Credit is prepaid. You add it by sending ETH or USDG on Robinhood Chain to the Mercato treasury from your signed-in wallet. ETH is credited at the USD price when the deposit is credited.
  • Each request is charged at the market cost reported by the upstream, minus any holder discount, as shown in the response headers.
  • Credit is non-refundable once spent. Unspent credit can be returned on request, minus network fees, unless the account was suspended for abuse.
  • Holder discounts depend on a daily pool funded by $MERCATO trading fees and are not guaranteed.

Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy. We may rate-limit, suspend or revoke keys that break it.

The token

$MERCATO is a utility token that sets a discount tier. It is not equity, carries no right to revenue or yield, and its price can go to zero. Nothing on this site is investment advice.

No warranty

Mercato is provided as is. Models can be unavailable, slow or wrong, and third-party sellers can fail. To the extent the law allows, Mercato is not liable for indirect losses, and its total liability is limited to the credit you added in the 30 days before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the site and in the changelog before they apply.
